By accessing or using altair.foundation (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About Altair Foundation
Altair Foundation (Частный фонд имени Хаби Жакыпова “Алтаир”, BIN 080540019316) is a registered charitable foundation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, operating to provide prosthetic devices and educational grants to people in need.
Registered address: 358A Zharokova Street, Bostandyk district, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to:
- Use the Site lawfully and in accordance with these Terms
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
- Not use the Site to transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications
- Not engage in activity that disrupts or impairs Site operation
- Not impersonate any person or organization
We reserve the right to suspend access for users who violate these Terms.
4. Donations
- Donations are processed by third-party providers (Stripe, Kaspi Pay) and subject to their terms.
- Donations are non-refundable, except where required by law or in cases of demonstrable error (contact us within 30 days).
- We provide tax receipts upon request for donations meeting applicable thresholds.
- A small operational fee (currently up to 10%) is retained from donations to cover administrative costs of running the Foundation, as authorized by our charter and Kazakhstan non-profit law.
- Restricted donations (designated for a specific program or beneficiary) are honored to the extent reasonably possible. If a designated purpose becomes impossible, the Foundation will allocate funds to the closest similar purpose.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the Site (text, images, logos, graphics) is owned by Altair Foundation or used under license, and protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may:
- View and print pages for personal, non-commercial use
- Share links to our pages
- Quote brief excerpts with attribution
You may not:
- Republish substantial portions of our content without permission
- Use our name, logo, or trademarks without written permission
- Use any beneficiary photographs, names, or stories without explicit consent of the Foundation
6. User submissions
Information you submit through forms (contact, volunteer, etc.) is governed by our Privacy Policy. You represent that any information you submit is truthful and that you have the right to submit it.
7. External links
The Site contains links to third-party services (Stripe, Kaspi Pay, Survio, etc.) and social media. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those external sites.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is current or error-free.
The Foundation’s prosthetic distribution and grant programs are subject to availability, eligibility criteria, and the Foundation’s discretion. Inquiry through the Site does not create any entitlement to receive a device or grant.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altair Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Altair Foundation from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith between the parties; unresolved disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Almaty, Kazakhstan.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
